As always great - just picked up and ate at home.

Unfortunately not five points, everything would have to warm up, it took about 7 minutes from pick-up to the table. In terms of taste also not so great, lack of spice, I didn't taste anything from the Mandarinenschery sauce and and and .......

We spontaneously ordered the game goulash and half the duck to be eaten away from home - it tasted great and the meat was tender! 🤩 Unfortunately the sauce was forgotten with the duck, hence a star deduction.

Super nice staff and the food is grenades good. Dogs are very welcome 🐺

service In front of the door there is a sign that you should wait until you are picked up, which we did. Although a short time later an employee looked directly at us through the door, he turned around and walked away! Let us stand there stupid! We stood there for a while and then just went in and asked for our reserved space. We felt really stupid !!

Very good food, courteous service and a beautiful zoo for the little ones.

Although I come from Wolfenbüttel, I like to drive 45 minutes to Hildesheim if I feel like a good schnitzel! The rump steak / beef fillet is also highly recommended! The service is great and the ambience is beautiful too. There are enough parking spaces and you can also sit outside. I always like to come back! A big compliment to the team !!

After waiting for 20 minutes just to get our table cleaned the service was good. The outside area is nice and very enjoyable in nice weather. The area is quite. Not a great place for vegetarians or vegans...

Certainly one of the best restaurants in the region. If you can still sit on the terrace like we do today and look at the game gate, you almost have the illusion that you are in a safari lodge ;-) Now after the extensive modernization everything is even more perfect and the service was already before.

Great restaurant, you can eat your food on the terrace at 11 degrees. Because you haven't made a reservation. Unfriendly and you will never see me again! Save it and go to MC instead

Today sat relaxed outside again, enjoyed the beautiful weather. I like the restaurant very much, nice beer garden. Attractive ambience. Familyfriendly. Good food offer. Friendly service. I will be happy to visit again

For us “ex-Hildesheimers” after a change of ownership and extensive renovation, once again one of the first addresses in Hildesheim when it comes to home-style cuisine, great service, courteous chef, nice ambience and recreational value. The free zoo is right in front of the beautiful summer terrace.

Service was great, the cake was also very tasty! Can only be recommended to everyone. The only thing I have to complain about is the iced coffee. Very nicely presented but the taste was not very good. Therefore only 4 stars

Very nicely located restaurant, which offers a good selection of food and drinks. The service was super courteous and responded to every request. The adjacent zoo, which only houses sick animals and animals that would not get along in the wild, rounds off the visit to the coppersmith.

The service ladies and gentlemen were very, very accommodating and almost amicably in a good mood to us. That was really nice! Unfortunately, the fries for my currywurst were fried a little too long, so dry and dark in the sense of, they had been standing a little longer .... Very reasonable prices!

Fantastic, authentic German cuisine with friendly and helpful staff. Set in a wonderful forest park with deer and other animals.

Always good for meeting friends or for a walk in between, with new large terrace.

Very unfriendly service. The ordered ice cream came almost liquid to the table and was like a child's portion. Price performance did not match at all. It is a pity because the excursion to the game gate was very nice. Side note. The mask of the waitress was worn under the chin all the time ... for some guests the contact details were collected, for some not.

I'm excited! We came by by chance and still found a place outside! The food tastes really good and is very nicely presented! The staff is very polite too! A recommendation from me and gladly again!

It has become very nice! A lot has changed, positively. The food tastes great, no long waiting times and friendliness is very important. The only negative, however, is that none of the employees wear mouth-nose protection. It hangs decoratively on everyone's neck and tarnishes my personal impression.

I am a British national - about to get residency in the area following my wedding to a German woman this May - 2018 . My honest opinion of the many German restaurants I have visited in this County and Germany as a whole, is that whilst the food is often reasonable, service is not Germany's strength! However, I have visited the Kupferschmiede many times over the last 2 years or so and this place is exceptional in every way! We use this restaurant for family occasions and large group occasions also and will be having our wedding reception there in a few months time! I have read many of the reviews and find that whilst most are 5 star as this one is, there are sometimes people you cannot please! Some of the negative comments are ridiculous and should not been taken seriously when considering a booking! The setting is in itself unique - positioned in the forest surrounded by a mini zoo! How could this been anything other than special! The building is typically German and is full of character and history! The inside is cosy and it has an super function room upstairs! The owner is a totally helpful and nice guy who runs a very well organised team of unusually helpful staff. Service is as good as it gets here! I have read that the menu is small and uninspiring... Well I would describe it as good business sense! The menu is typically German which is a good thing and has plenty of choice! Portion sizes are large and presentation good! Better to do a core menu extremely well than try and do too much badly! The place is often busy so book - busy is the best sign that somewhere is good! This is the best restaurant for German food in the are by some way!!

Nice atmosphere for lunch or dinner with family and friends!
